About Us
Custom art, made by hand — well, mostly by hand.
Ink & Cobalt started with a simple idea: the things we love most — a boat that's seen a hundred good days on the water, the house that's always felt like home, a car that's more memory than machine — deserve more than a photo tucked away on a phone.
Creation is our lifeblood- taking something from everyday life and altering it to be something unique, inspiring or simply bringing joy. Bringing a new aspect, a new life or a new meaning that will accompany you and elevate your spirit day in and day out.
Every piece starts the same way: your photo. From there, we work with you to bring out its character in a style that suits it — soft watercolour, bold pop-art, a vintage travel poster, and more — before it's printed, framed, and shipped to your door, ready to hang.
We're a small, Canadian-run studio, which means every order gets real attention — not an assembly line. If something's not quite right, we'll work with you until it is.

Ordering & Customization
Q: How does it work?
A: Upload a photo of your boat, home, car, or motorcycle, choose your style, size, medium, and frame colour, and our team creates your custom artwork with the help of AI. We'll send you a digital proof to review before anything goes to print, so you know exactly how it'll look before it's made.
Q: What kind of photo should I upload?
A: A clear, well-lit photo works best — the more detail visible in your original photo, the better the final piece will capture it. Photos must be under 20MB (most phone photos work fine as-is).
Q: What happens to my photo after I upload it?
A: Your photo is processed securely with the help of AI and deleted 30 days after your order is complete. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Q: Is there a way to see my artwork before it's printed?
A: Yes — every order includes a digital proof for you to review and approve before we move to printing. Nothing goes to production without your okay.
Products & Materials
Q: What are my print options?
A: Each piece is available in your choice of size (12x18, 16x24, 20x30, or 24x36), medium (premium canvas or HD gloss metal), and frame colour (Natural Wood, Walnut, Pewter, Ebony, Charcoal, or Gold Antique).
Q: What kind of frame do your pieces come with?
A: All frames are floating-style, with a subtle shadow gap between the artwork edge and the frame — a clean, modern, gallery-style hang. Each frame is handcrafted in Québec and arrives ready to hang right out of the box.
Q: What styles are available?
A: We offer a range of styles depending on the subject — from soft, painterly watercolour looks to bold, graphic pop-art treatments. Browse each category's collection page to see the full style lineup and preview images.
Shipping & Delivery
Q: How long does it take to receive my order?
A: Please allow up to 10 business days for us to create your artwork, send your proof, and complete production, plus an additional 3–5 business days for delivery within Canada. Estimated total time: approximately 13–15 business days.
Q: Do you ship outside Canada?
A: Not yet — we currently ship within Canada only.
Q: How much is shipping?
A: Free, on every order within Canada
Q: How can I track my order?
A: Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking information.
Returns & Refunds
Q: Can I return or exchange my order?
A: Since every piece is custom-made just for you, we're unable to accept returns or exchanges except in the case of a manufacturing defect or shipping damage. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Q: What if there's a problem with my order when it arrives?
A: We want your piece to arrive in perfect condition, free of any defects. If anything's not right, contact us right away at info@inkandcobalt.ca with a photo of the issue, and we'll make it right.
About Our Process
Q: Do you use AI to create the artwork?
A: Yes. We use AI as part of our studio process to transform your photo into your chosen style, guided and reviewed by our team at every step — from the initial creation through your proof approval. Every piece is still shaped by human craft and care before it reaches your wall, and each frame is handcrafted in Québec before it ships to you.
Q: Why do you use AI instead of hand-painting each piece?
A: It lets us offer a wide range of styles at an accessible price, with a much faster turnaround than traditional commissioned art — while still giving you a proof to review and the ability to personalize details before anything is printed.
